El Gordo Trae El Mando
As Miguel waddled over to the coffee table, his chubby fingers fumbled for the remote. “El gordo trae el mando,” he muttered to himself in Spanish, an old saying his abuela used to repeat whenever he had to get up for something. It roughly translated to “the fat man brings the remote,” a simple reminder that sometimes laziness needed to be overcome by taking action.
With a grunt, Miguel finally managed to grasp the remote and triumphantly raised it in the air like a conquering hero. He plopped back down on the couch with a satisfied smile, ready to resume his TV binge. As he settled back into his comfortable spot, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony of the situation the fat man had indeed brought the remote, proving that sometimes a little effort was all it took to achieve the simplest of goals.
